Banquet Policies
Food & Beverages: All food must be prepared and served by a licensed full service caterer. There is no Food & Beverage minimum here at Tanners Brook. Tanners Brook banquet will provide a fully stocked bar and bartenders for your event. The bar fee is included in your rental price. The bar fee includes 2 bartenders and an on-site event coordinator. We require that all beverages, intoxicating and non-intoxicating, be supplied by and purchased through Tanners Brook Golf Course. Any outside beverages that are brought in will be taken by Tanners Brook staff. Anyone found consuming alcohol NOT purchased from the club will jeopardize the function with the possibility of a cancellation or shutdown immediately. This includes during the setup of your Reception. There is alcohol available upon setup if desired for purchase. We reserve the right to refuse service to any guest who appears to be intoxicated or provides alcohol to guests who are under the legal age. Alcohol consumption must end at 11:00 PM.
Decorations: Renters will provide their own centerpieces. Tanners Brook does not permit nails, staples, tacks, etc. to be used on the banquet rooms walls and tables. NO Rice, Bird Seed, Confetti, Small Jewels, Glitter or Confetti Filled Balloons are allowed inside the building or on the grounds. There will be a charge of $250.00 for cleaning should those items be brought in without knowledge. Please confirm all decorating plans with Tanners Brook prior to event. Candle flames must be contained within a container.
Time Frame: Each event will have a time frame set on the contract. Bar service & entertainment must end at 11:00 PM with guests vacating the facility by Midnight.
Liability & Damages: Tanners Brook shall not assume responsibility for the loss of any personal items at our facility during your event. This includes cards and gifts for which the event host is responsible for. The event host will also be responsible for any damage to the property during the event.
Deposit: Deposits are required to confirm the room reservation on the date of your event and is applied to the final balance of your invoice. The deposit is non-refundable should you cancel your event for any reason.
Service Charge & Tax: All beverage prices are subject to a 18% service charge. All beverages are subject to 8.38% sales tax and 9.75% liquor sales tax.
Payment: Final payment will be required by 5:00 PM the day of your event.

Who is the event coordinator and what are her normal office hours?
Our event coordinator is Andrea Brischke. Andrea knows our entire operation from top to bottom, having worked at Tanners Brook in a variety of roles since 2005. Depending on the event schedule in a given week, her normal office hours are Monday-Friday 9:30AM-5PM. She is also available by appointment at your convenience nights and weekends.
Will Tanners Brook help me plan my event?
We will do everything we can to help make sure your event goes off exactly how you envision it. Andrea will be happy to assist you in determining your menu, event timetable, floor plan, vendor choices, and more.
Your Event
When can I get in to set up?
The banquet room is yours from 8AM the day of your event until Midnight. If Tanners Brook does not have an event the day before you may be able to set up a day earlier. Andrea will make that determination closer to your event date.
What is included for my event?
Standard room set-up and take down, flexible layout of your choosing, large on-site parking area, proficient and hospitable staff, experienced bartenders, sixty-inch round tables seating 8 people, linen tablecloths and napkins in your choice of either White or Black and the opportunity to take pictures on our beautiful golf course.
What is the capacity at Tanners Brook?
Tanners Brook can hold 180 people in the banquet room.
Can I rent the space and bring my own food or beverages?
Yes you may bring in a full service licensed caterer of your choice as long as you contact Andrea prior to signing the catering contract to ensure all event details are reviewed. All alcohol must be supplied by Tanners Brook Golf Club, as licensee in accordance with Minnesota State Liquor Regulations.
What if I have unique ideas for my event?
By all means, we encourage our guests to come up with innovative ways to set their events apart. Please feel free to ask us if your ideas are feasible, or if we can think of any alternatives or other interesting ideas we have seen in the past.
Fees and Charges
What deposits are required to hold a date?
For weddings we require a non-refundable deposit of $400 to hold the date. This will be applied toward your final bill the night of the event.
I need to cancel my event; can I get my deposit back?
Because of the nature of the event business, and the fact that the vast majority of events need to be booked well in advance and require a lot of work prior to the event, all deposits are non-refundable.
Do you have food and beverage minimums?
Here at Tanners Brook we do not have food & beverage minimums.
